Dr Levy has cared for the people of NH for more than two decades.
He graduated with honors from the Tufts School of Dental Medicine. After professional school, Dr Levy completed Oral Surgery residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital, a premier Harvard teaching hospital. There, he also received training in General Surgery, Medicine, General Anesthesia, and other related disciplines. In order to better care for you, Oral Surgeons receive both dental and medical education.
Dr Levy served part of his residency at other Harvard teaching hospitals. He was a resident in the Plastic Surgery departments at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital in Boston, concentrating on craniofacial reconstruction. This involves birth defects and complex injuries. In addition, Dr. Levy held an appointment as a Clinical Instructor at the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr Levy is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology, having successfully passed that Society’s rigorous examination.
Teaching: Dr Levy has given educational lectures to colleague dentists, and to physicians at area hospitals' grand rounds. He has taught dental hygiene students at the NH Technical Institute about his specialty. As an Instructor for the American Heart Association for many years, Dr Levy teaches dental healthcare professionals the CPR skills vital to patients’ safety.
Although most doctors don’t mention high school, Dr. Levy is very proud of having been accepted by merit, to the Bronx High School of Science in NYC, a public system science “magnet school”. Bronx Science has produced three Noble-Prize winners, and countless other accomplished Doctors, Physicians, Engineers, and so on…
Dr Levy is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This certification is earned only after passing a rigorous examination consisting of demonstrated experience, a written examination, and a series of verbal testing before national leaders in the field. Dr Levy achieved his Board Certification on his first attempt.
Dr Levy is married, with two great children. In his “spare time”, some of his “non-work” passions are chess, kayaking, working to stay fit, reading ancient history and jogging with, and training the family’s German Shepherds. He has a soft spot for Shepherds “since I watched Rin-Tin-Tin as a kid”.
